Naomi Warren Sweet

Naomi's granddaughter writes:
My grandmother, Naomi Sweet (nee Warren) was born in 1927 to an unwed 15-year-old girl in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised in New Hamburg, Missouri, in her early years, and moved to Chicago when she was a young girl.
My grandmother graduated from Wells Senior High School in 1945. She attended the Mary Thompson Hospital for Women and Children to receive her nurses training.
She has always spoken about those years (in nursing school) as some of the best years of her life. She went on to marry and have three children, one of whom was my mother.
My grandmother worked as an obstetrics nurse until she retired early at age 59 to care full-time for her quadriplegic daughter, my Aunt.
After burying her husband and all three of her children, my grandmother passed away in her home at age 97, on May 25, 2024.
